It all started with a logo
What do you do when you live in Perth but your business is in Texas and you need to get the ball rolling on your digital presence. That was the dilemma our client faced when they first came to the Web Wizards office. They knew they had a great business model with their engine part manufacturing in production but they didn’t even have a business name when they walked through the door.
After some brainstorming our creative team offered up their now name of Extra Mile Automotive. They loved it. It lent itself perfectly to what they wanted to offer, quality engine parts with great customer service.
So our graphic designer ran with it and developed a striking logo, utilising the theme of an automotive speedometer to represent a streamlined business.

Challenges
Jane and Peter are a determined and hard working couple dividing their lives between business and family responsibilities, often spending months apart while they build their US company.
It was a challenge with different time zones and gaps between emails because of how complex their lives are but the communciation and ideas kept flowing. We were able to communicate design concepts and creative ideas with our interactive design system where our designer shares an upload of the latest version of the design and Jane could make comments online directly on the design at any time, day or night, and the designer would be notified.
Evolution
This website had to evolve as the development went on and Jane and Peter understood more about the United States market and shipping options. They also wanted different levels of wholesale pricing for preferred customers so we implemented a wholesale system that allows for the shop manager to control prices per wholesale client.
After investigation of shipping and freight options in the US a Free Shipping policy was implemented and we added a highlight bar on the home page for customer awareness.
Another requisite was a download page for their parts brochures so their customers could have a hard copy on hand if they preferred.

Result
Extra Mile is now growing in the US market and their website is the tool that assist them in that growth. They have a fully customised website with a design bespoke to their needs and goals. There is an ease of ordering, easy to find products, in depth filters for product search and room to expand.
